Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - James "Jim or Jimmy" Zampino was, simply, a great guy. He was a loving husband to his wife, Corliss, of 58 years, a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jimmy is survived by his 2 children Jaime Forbes and Matthew Zampino; 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Steven and Ben Forbes, Matthew, Michael and Mary Zampino; and great-grandson Wyatt Zampino.
Jim was a top salesman for a Fortune 500 company for almost 40 years. He loved what he did and up until his passing was still going strong. Armed with his legendary sense of humor and genuinely compassionate spirit, Jim made friends wherever he went. Customers became friends and friends became family. His unexpected passing has left more than a few of us with heavy hearts.
Please join us at The Island Funeral Home from 1-4 on Saturday, March 16th to celebrate the life of this remarkable man who enriched the lives of so many others. A short reception will follow at The Cypress Club of Hilton Head.

I have been helping run the bridge game at the Cypress on Tuesdays since Covid started and enjoyed getting to know Jimmy. I was shocked to read of his passing - he was always full of humor and was such a lovely gentleman. My deepest condolences to his family - he will be missed by everyone whose life he touched.
