John Reda Obituary

John Reda John passed away on January 14th after a 20 year battle with kidney cancer. He is survived by his wife, Linda, his mother Lena, his brother Anthony, three children Carl, Lori and Frank, and seven wonderful grandchildren. He retired from Kraft Foods, White Plains, NY, as an Information Systems Analyst in 1996 and moved to Hilton Head with his wife to enjoy his retirement. Since then he has been an usher in his church, an active member with the Knights of Columbus, and in his community, Palmetto Hall. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Saint-Francis-by-the-Sea on Saturday, January 22, 2011. Arrangements by The Island Funeral Home and Crematory. He was liked by many and will be missed by all. Anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory, please do so to the Kidney Cancer Association, P.O. Marge,and I offer you and your family our most sincere sympathy. Having worked and and played golf with John I came to know a warm homorous and gentle man that served his community well.They say that only the good die young.
