JonPaul Gonzalez Obituary
November 24, 2002 - December 4, 2021
Bluffton, South Carolina - We are immensely saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our son, JonPaul "Jonny / JP", at age 19, as the result of a tragic car accident.
Juan Pablo Gonzalez Rizo and Christina Galbreath welcomed JonPaul into this world on November 24th, 2002. JonPaul was a happy, beautiful baby. His love for animals and others started at a young age, and his love for his brother Brandon began at his birth. Jonny loved his cousins immensely, was a best friend to many, and was adored by his campers. JP greatly enjoyed the game of soccer, playing video games, listening to music, the beach, travleing, and making family and friends smile and laugh - sometimes intentionally and sometimes just by being himself.
We are devastated by this loss and will feel the absence of JonPaul forever. He was an amazing young man with a beautiful smile and kind soul. He made an impression on the lives of everyone around him and will be forever missed.
He is survived by a loving group of family, friends and teammates throughout the US, Mexico & Switzerland.

We were privileged to have Jonny to our home several times to spend time with our daughter and their joint friends. We were struck by his beautiful manners and lovely disposition. He was polite, helpful and a pleasure to have at our house. We have not had the opportunity to meet his parents but want them to know how impressed we were by their son and what a true pleasure it was to know him. Your family will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

JonPaul will be in our hearts forever. He was a very special part of our family. Loving memories... he taught us all so much, he was quiet and loud, he made us laugh, he was the one who could reach the high cobwebs, happy to take a dump run, he would surprise us with a clean kitchen, seeing his smiling face, playing games, just stopping by to say hello, good sport trying new foods, hanging out waiting for traffic to clear, leaving notes of encouragement, thoughtful presents, happy just to be with our family, always willing to help with a chore, errand or project. The biggest, kindest heart. A gentleman. We miss you so much. Thank you for loving Edy Ann will all your heart. We have been blessed to share in your beautiful life. Your smile, your laugh, your kindness, your big brown eyes, your heart will never be forgotten.
