Kristin Dinwiddie Obituary

Kristin Dinwiddie, 51, of Bluffton, SC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a long struggle.

Kristin was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend whose playful spirit, mischievous smile, and boundless love touched all who knew her. From an early age, Kristin lived life with joy and courage. She delighted in family adventures-whether in cars, on motorcycles, or in the family airplane, where she loved nothing more than the wind in her face and the bumps of turbulence.

For nearly two decades, Kristin was a proud participant in Programs for Exceptional People (PEP), where she formed cherished friendships with fellow members and staff, spreading laughter and joy wherever she went. She also shined as a member of a special-needs cheerleading team, enthusiastically joining competitions and travel that brought her great happiness.

At home and at PEP, Kristin was always eager to help. She loved music, especially singing along in her own unique way, and was rarely without her headphones or iPad-where Jaws and The Karate Kid played on repeat. She had a special talent for jigsaw puzzles, which she worked on tirelessly, and she took pride in her colorful watches and jewelry, always making sure everything was "matchie matchie."

Kristin is survived by her devoted parents, Hugh and Patsy Dinwiddie, her loving sister Tonya, her brother Brad, her uncle Dale, and a wide circle of family and friends who adored her. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, humor, and resilience.

A celebration of Kristin's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kristin's honor to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, so that others may continue to benefit from the compassion and care that meant so much to her and her family.
