Lloyd Fox Obituary
January 5, 1937 - June 30, 2024
Beaufort, South Carolina - Lloyd Albert Fox, 87, husband of Maria Teresa Fox, of Beaufort, SC, passed peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at his residence. The love of his life, Teresa, was with him throughout his long and courageous battle with cancer.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 12:30pm at Anderson Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow on Friday, at 2:00pm in Beaufort National Cemetery, with military honors.
Mr. Fox was born on January 5, 1937 in Vassar, MI. He is the son of the late Freeman A. Fox and Eve Hanes Fox.
Lloyd was proud to serve his country in the Navy and was awarded many declarations. Upon retiring from the Navy, his last duty station was the radiology department at the Beaufort Naval Hospital.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 41 years, Teresa; is son, Lloyd Albert Fox, Jr. "Alan" (Francis Ann "Frannie') and their children, Dustyn A. Fox (Peyton), Andrew L. Fox (Sarah), Charlotte Fox and Emma Fox; a son, Christopher Shane Fox and children, Christian Fox, Hunter Fox, and Cody Fox; and one daughter, Heather Fox Slusher (Mark) and their children, Logan Bishop and Luke Slusher.
Lloyd was predeceased by five sisters and one brother.
The family would like to thank Lloyd's care team, friends and neighbors who have helped and supported him over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Friends of Caroline Hospice, in Lloyd's memory.
Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.

Lloyd was instrumental in the professional and personal development of so many people in Beaufort and at the Naval Hospital. He took so many people under his wing and mentored dozens of people. I owe most of my professional success to his mentorship of me in ultrasound. He gave us all of himself every single day. Not a day goes by that I don´t think of him and his accomplishments and generosity to us. My love to Te-Te and to his family for sharing him with us.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Fox. I had the pleasure of working with him at the Naval Hospital many years ago. He was always helpful and had good stories to tell. I still have a brownie recipe that I use to this day, that he gave to me. May he rest in peace. Condolences to his family.
