Lorine M. Getz
June 19, 1942 - May 22, 2023
Delray Beach, Florida - Lorine M. Getz, daughter of the late Howard A. and Dorothy M. Heckler Getz, wife of the late David F. Kelly, sister of the late Howard R. Getz and M. Kathleen Davis, died peacefully on May 22, 2023, in Delray Beach, Florida at the age of 80. Lorie was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Getz is survived by her sister, Susan L. Getz, her brother, Kenneth L. Getz, her sister, Beth Ann Getz Hallman, nephews, great nieces, and great-nephews.
Dr. Getz attended Duquesne University and received her Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Toronto. Lorie was an educator, author, and friend. She taught in Ohio, Canada, Massachusetts, and North Carolina. Among her many talents, she was a Reiki Master and brought energy and help to many. She traveled extensively and had a wonderful and productive life. She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lorie's name to the Howard Getz Family Memorial Fund, University of Dayton, 300 College Park, Dayton, Ohio 45469-7052.
