October 3, 1963 - August 31, 2023
Peachtree City, Georgia - Mark Arthur Yoss (59) passed away peacefully in his home on August 31, 2023 in Peachtree City, Georgia. Mark was born October 3, 1963 to loving parents Joel and Loretta (Lori, nee Dolleck) in Springfield, Illinois and raised in Springfield, New Jersey. He raised his girls Sarah Yoss Simmons and Lauren Yoss Holmes with ex-wife Theresa Fair Nalls, in Raleigh, North Carolina and Fayetteville, Georgia. He had been living in Peachtree City, Georgia since 2015.
Mark attended Jonathan Dayton High School where he was an athlete and known for playing football. After graduating, Mark went on to attend college at Valparaiso University, following in the footsteps of his parents who met there as undergraduates in 1959. After graduation, Mark settled in Raleigh, North Carolina where he raised his beautiful daughters.
Mark had a successful career with Cooper Industries and later entrepreneurial endeavors with an online company and his own staffing agency with PrideStaff. He will be missed by his family.
Mark is survived by his loving mother Loretta, his children: Sarah and Lauren, his brothers Craig and Eric, and his nieces and nephews Thomas, Benjamin, Lizzie, John and Matthew Yoss.
He is predeceased by his father Joel.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, September 8 at 2pm at All Saints Church. A burial will immediately follow at Six Oaks Cemetery in Sea Pines where his father rests.

I am very sorry to hear about Mark's passing. We went to school together in Springfield, N.J. and we played football together. We were both guards on the offensive line. Mark was quiet but I remember his smile and sense of humor.
