How comforting it is to know that some people do remember the selfless support my mother gave to the Florence Area Humane Society. She dedicated her life to saving animals - ALL animals - and although her efforts are little known to those working for the same rights of animals today, her legacy lives on through her untimely death. One thing you can say about my mother - if you ever met her you certainly never forgot her.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Lou's family. I have so many great memories of Lou and her boundless energy for the benefit of the animals and the Florence Area Humane Society which I was fortunate enough to serve on the board of under her leadership.
God bless you all.

My sympathies to the entire Schuster family. Thankful for all your mom did for the Humane Society and I hope she was proud of what it had become. Losing a parent is a hard thing...I just lost my daddy two weeks ago. May God give you peace and understanding now and in the days to come.

Strong Lady! Animal rights before it was cool! Snow in the yard (remember that)only snow in any yard. I heard your parents spent their final years on the road RV'ing. I learned alot about commitment without even realising it from your Mom her drive for the Humane Society behind National Cemetary and now look at the facility she laid the ground work for, and she raised some pretty good kids! Love you all. Matt

My deepest sympathies to the Schuster family. Mrs. Schuster was an outstanding humanitarian and mother. She was ahead of her time about the treatment of animals and the impact of her life continues it's legacy in Florence. I will always remember her kindness and the good times we had growing up with the Schuster family.
Rest in Peace.

I would have last heart if I could not have seen God's work among the living. May God forever hold her in his loving arms. Roger L. Blackman Timmonsville, SC
