Myrwyn Asher "Dee" Renwick

Myrwyn "Dee" Asher Renwick Myrwyn "Dee" Asher Renwick, husband of Cleo L. Renwick, passed away on 7/4/2016 at Helena Place, Port Royal, SC. He was a fine man who made a difference in many people's lives. Born in Ottawa, IL on 10/21/1931, the son of Myrwyn C. and Erma Renwick. He graduated form Ottawa High School, Beloit College and University of Illinois with a Masters in Labor & Industrial Relations. He was a member of Beta Theta Phi fraternity and served in the Army during the Korean War. Dee had a long career in the business world, retiring as Corporate VP of Hillenbrand Industries in Batesville IN. He & Cleo moved to Beaufort in 1982, where they bought & ran Martin's Menswear for 15 years. He served as President of Main Street Beaufort. USA for several years. Dee had many interests in life and was good at all of them. Hard work, reading, jazz & classical music, golf, nature, gardening, fly fishing & fly tying, mentoring people from all walks of life and volunteering for many organizations were among his many joys in life. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Cleo; daughter, Lawson Lewis of Bluffton and grandson Elijah Walters of Hilton Head; daughter Carey Foster (Scott) and grandson Graham Foster of Bozeman, MT; sister Kalah Bumba (Bob) of Salinas CA; brother-in-law, Mike Woessner (Angie), of Milan, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James A Renwick of Ottawa, IL. There will be a memorial gathering announced at a later date.
