Raymond Wexler Obituary

Raymond Kenneth Wexler, 80, of St. Helena Island, S.C., died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Montreal, Canada, a son of the late Norman and Edith Boyd Wexler. Prior to retirement on Fripp Island, SC, he was a resident of Reading, MA and Falmouth, MA. Raymond was a 1955 graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He held advanced degrees from Northeastern University and the University of Lowell in Engineering Physics. He was employed by Raytheon Company until his retirement. Raymond was an avid golfer and member of both the Elks and Shriners. He is predeceased by his wife Ilse Wexler of Frankfurt, Germany. He is survived by four loving children, Dianna Pfefferle and her husband Heribert of Centennial, CO; Paul Wexler of Falmouth, MA; Kevin Wexler and his wife Valerie of Andover, MA; Lesley Perry and her husband Mike of Lady's Island, S.C. His grandchildren include Monica, Erich, Ben, Alex, Caroline and Charlotte. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 10th, 2p.m., at the All Faith's Chapel located on Fripp Island. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to The Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Pt. Dr., Tampa, FL 33607. Copeland Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Over the years your dad was so very kind and generous to my family, welcoming us to his home in Reading as well as in Cape Cod. My deepest sympathies go to you, my cousins, and to your families. I wish you all strength during this sad and difficult time.
