Richard T. Harter

Richard (Dick) T. Harter Richard (Dick) T. Harter, age 67, of Hilton Head, South Carolina was born July 2, 1948 and was a longtime resident of Chatham, New Jersey. He passed away on January 17, 2016. He attended Villanova University and was an avid fan of Villanova basketball. Dick was a former member of Canoe Brook Country Club and a member of The Golf Club at Indigo Run, where he served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. He also served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Property Owners Association of The Golf Club. Golf and his family were his passions. Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Lynn Gilligan Harter, daughter Julie Goldstrom and her husband Seth, son Doug Harter and his wife Katie, and seven grandchildren Reilly, Morgan, Caroline, Meghan, Connor, Thomas and Olivia. He is also survived by his brothers and their wives, John and Lynda Harter of Chatham, New Jersey and Robert and Lynne Harter of Hilton Head, South Carolina, and his brother-in-law Gene Gilligan of Hilton Head, South Carolina and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rita Harter and his grandson, Jack Harter.
