Doug, Joyce and the McLean family: My deepest condolences are extended to you and your families on the loss of your father. Your Dad worked closely with my Grandfather's brother, Dr. Robert C. Schwartz (pediatrician) on the Rh factor births and transfusions. Uncle Bob thought very highly of your father, his skills, professionalism and dedication to deliver good medicine to his patients

My Deepest Sympathy goes out to Dr. McLean's family. I was his patient in the year of 1966, he was the most kindest and caring ,&competent Doctor that I ever know. He saved my life and my son's life at the time. He will not only be missed by me but by many others who knew him, including a friend of mine who,s name is Diana Brown. Too bad that the Doctors of today could not compare to his compassion of his patients an his expertise. My Deepest Sympathy, Carol Barnello(Carol Kucharski) P.S. I have never forgotten him nor will I ever.

I was always impressed with the gentle man and the gentleman that Dr. McLean was. What a pleasure it was to be a small part of his marriage to his beautiful bride, while owning Pretty Papers and ordering invitations. The Island has lost a wonderful man. Sincere sympathy to you, Marilyn, and the rest of the family.

When my husband and I moved to Syracuse from my hometown of Waterville, NY, I found myself in need of an OB-GYN, and I discovered that Dr McLean was practicing here and the search process stopped. I had known his parents from the Presbyterian Church, and as owners of the local funeral home. They were the sweetest, kindest, exemplary people I had ever met. To add to the story, he had grown up with my Dad and I found him to be a perfect fit for my needs. He always remembered me when I was at the office and it was true that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. My prayers are with those he has left behind, but I know that his reunion in heaven with his family has been most joyful, and that God himself has told him, " well done, good and faithful servant. Well done." RIP, sweet man.
