Ruby Adams Obituary

Ruby Elizabeth Adams Beaufort, SC Ruby Elizabeth Adams, 81, widow of Neal H. Adams, Jr., died February 23, 2009, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thurs., at 11:30am at Port Royal Baptist Church with burial in Beaufort National Cemetery. Mrs. Adams was born on October 8, 1927, in Alexandria, VA, a daughter of the late John Seymour and Elizabeth Lee Seymour. She worked briefly at the Pentagon during WWII and was very active with the USO. She had resided in Beaufort since 1968. She was formerly employed at the Kiddie Korner and It's Me Too Fashions in Beaufort. She was a member of Port Royal Baptist Church, Norma Sunday School Class and the Praise Group. She also enjoyed the activities with Beaufort County Senior Citizens. She is survived by two sons, Herman Remers of Beaufort, Walter Remers of Summerville, a daughter, Nancy Duncan of Beaufort, three brothers, Richard Seymour of Clearwater, FL, Warren Seymour of Stafford, VA, Roy Seymour of Greenville, TN, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne Adams and two brothers, Douglas and Howard Seymour. Memorials may be made to Port Royal Baptist Church, P.O. Box 207, Port Royal, SC 29935. Anderson Funeral Home is serving the family.

Miss Ruby is a beautiful lady who always seemed to make you smile or laugh even through tough times. She is now reunited with her loved ones and her Lord and Savior. What a glorious place to be. My prayers and sympathy to the family.
