Theresa Walker Obituary

Theresa B Walker

March 4, 1962 - June 8, 2024

Swansea, South Carolina - Theresa (Terry) Walker passed peacefully June eighth surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer. She grew up in New Jersey and called the Low Country home for the last thirty plus years. She started a successful cleaning business on Hilton Head that she had until she was forced to retire for health issues.

She attended Hardeeville United Methodist Church until she retired and moved to Lexington County where she attended Ebenezer church.

She is survived by her partner of over 20 years, Patricia (Patio) Chartier-Walker, her daughter Amanda Bowman and husband Richard, 3 grandchildren, Mason, Hunter and Bryson, 4 brothers and a sister, plus many cousins, neices, nephews, and a great neiece. Her biggest joy was talking about her family and showing you pictures of her grandkids, fishing, and taking day trips. She was never seen without Patio and her sister Kathy, aka "The 3 Musketeers. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.

Terry came to our church the last 2 years and the congregation came to love her. She was always kind and friendly even as she was so ill. Terry and Kathy extended support for our niece as she suffered with a similar disease. We are praying for your the family as this time.

I spent a lot of time in my life thinking there were very few perfect souls in this world. But as I went through life I had the honor to know and be friends with many ! My sister Terry was a perfect soul. I never heard her speak in anger about anyone. Terry had the spirit and soul that the Lord would be proud to stand by!
You are loved and missed by many ! My love always!Jerry
Terry was a beautiful person loved by many! Very little if any time complaining! More enjoying her time and life with Pat, her soul mate and Kathy her sister!
She will be in our hearts and thoughts always!
Our love always, Jerry & Kathy

What can I say about loosing my sister?
I feel like i'm missing a limb. Terry and I had something special. People said we were twins separated by four years. We didn't even have to answer each other's questions..... We could just look at each other and know what each other meant.
We literally could feel if the other person was not right and we would call each other even if it was in the middle of the night.... I will never have that again.. I guess I have to be happy that I had it at all.
It was so bad they would not let us play pictionary on opposite teams!
The world will have to go on without this special hardworking Mom/Sister/Spouse who made sure everyone was taken care of and provided for. She was one of a kind, and will be missed every single day.

We will all miss you dearly Theresa. So happy we got to spend time and lots of laughs at the pool. Every time I make and eat that triple chocolate cake I will be thinking of you. Fly high and free Terry we will miss you dearly.

Loosing my sister is something I never imagined. Growing old without her by my side is unimaginable.
Pat, we were supposed to be "The Golden Girls" and live together till we were senile. My sister was the best sister in the world, she put family first, treated her customers like family, and always made time to help anyone who needed it. See you on the other side "Twin Flame".
