Bluffton, South Carolina - Thomas Krafcik, aged 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2nd at his home in Bluffton. He was born October 1st, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Edward and Elizabeth Krafcik. A voracious reader, chess fanatic, and a born explorer (except when it came to food), he spent many years working as a project consultant in pharmaceuticals and enjoyed his life outside of work and in retirement traveling the world and spending time with his family. A phone call with Tom was a beloved weekly ritual for many. He is survived by his father: Edward Krafcik, aged 95; as well as his wife: Diana Krafcik; two sons: Edward and Stephen Krafcik; and Step-daughter, Jennifer Link. He is further survived by his siblings: Gary, Missy, Michael, and Karen Krafcik; his nieces and nephews: Sarah, Peter, and Christine Krafcik, as well as Hannah Eggenschwiler.
There will be a celebration of life to honor and remember him on October 16th from 12:00pm-3:00pm in the Ballroom of the Lake House North Side in Sun City, Bluffton.
