Thomas Torre Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Torre Thomas "Tom" Torre, age 84, of Bluffton and formerly of New York died Sunday, August 26, 2018 at home. Mr. Torre was born on August 23, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Michael and Blanche Torre. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving honorably from 1956 1958. He worked as an engineer with Con Edison, retiring after more than 40 years of service. He enjoyed playing poker and while living in Bluffton, attended St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Torre was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Torre-Demery. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Bonnie Torre; sons, Edward Torre (Michele) and Steven Torre (Susan); and grandchildren, Morgan, Christopher, Steven, Jonathan, Jameson, and Andrew. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 Saint Gregory Drive, Bluffton, SC 29909. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Care of the Low Country or to the American Cancer Society. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family. www.saulsfh.com
