Beaufort, South Carolina - Wade Edwin Utsey III, known affectionately as Winn, passed away on June 8,
2024, at the age of 81. He was born on February 9, 1943, in Jacksonville, Florida
to loving parents Wade Utsey Jr & Frances Pender Utsey.
Winn was proud member of the Air National Guard and served his country with
honor and pride.
Beaufort, SC became Winn's home in 1969, where he created countless
cherished memories and made many treasured friends. His favorite place in the
world was sitting on the porch of the pool house watching the river flow
peacefully by.
Winn shared his life with his beloved wife Katherine Winn, who he married in
1984.
Winn's legacy continues through his children: Miechelle Knotts, Edwin Utsey IV,
Malcolm Utsey & Joshua Utsey. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren
whom he was very proud of.
Winn leaves behind his loving sister, Sarah Utsey Stephens, who shared a
special bond with him throughout their lifetime.
Wade Edwin Utsey III will be remembered for his love for his family and friends
as well as his appreciation for the simple joys in life. He will be deeply missed by
all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family intends to honor him with a Celebration of Life service in the fall.
