William Depew Obituary

William John Depew, 81, of Beaufort, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 4- 6 PM at Anderson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 at noon at Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Depew was born August 13, 1933 in San Diego, CA, son of Bela Andrew and Margaret Thompson Depew. John served his country with honor in the U.S. Army retiring after 20 years of service and later was a self-employed truck driver. He is survived by his sons; Joseph M. Depew and his wife Kim of Chattanooga, TN and John L. Depew and his wife Dana of Williston, SC and his daughter Mary Iacono and her husband Kevin of Bluffton; his daughter-in law Pam, 5 grandchildren; Ashley Lynn Depew, Amy Elizabeth Depew, John L., Jr., William Bryan and Andrew James and 1 great-grandchild, John L., III. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn and his sons James and William John, Jr. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, www.lung.org/donate. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
