Adam Babin, 45
1980 - 2025
Lynn - It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Adam Babin.
Adam was the beloved son of Mary Condon Babin and David Babin, devoted father of Ezra, brother of Erin Almeida and her husband Greg, and a wonderfully loving uncle of Ben and Sydney Almeida.
Adam grew up in Lynn, graduating from Lynn English High School in 1998 and Boston University in 2002. Along with a deep connection to nature and the outdoors - hiking, camping, kayaking, birds, plants, trees and flowers - he had a love for travel and adventure. During college, he studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland. He taught English as a second language in Thailand, traveled extensively across the United States and Europe and visited China.
His son, Ezra, was the center of his world. He loved Ezra more than words could possibly express. They would spend countless hours together laughing, talking, working on fun projects and playing games. Adam cherished every moment they spent together, and he took great joy in learning about and supporting Ezra's interests, no matter what they happened to be. Most recently, they were working on (and enjoying) a project to refurbish an old computer together.
Adam had a quick, curious mind and an even quicker sense of humor. He would often light up the room with a funny joke or tidbit. He was a kind, loving and generous man who also cherished time with his family. He enjoyed listening to podcasts, NPR, solving challenging puzzles and astonishing his parents with the depth of his knowledge and recall of facts when watching Jeopardy with them, which he loved to do.
For the past several years, Adam had been working as a devoted caregiver and advocate for adults with developmental disabilities. Sadly, it was while working with a client, and leaving to spend time with another, that he experienced a sudden and fatal cardiac arrest. Because of his commitment to and support of those with developmental disabilities, we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Northeast Arc, 1 Southside Road, Danvers, MA 01923 -
