Anne Gardner Obituary

LYNN -- It is with great sadness that we announce Anne Marie Gardner, 73, of Lynn, died suddenly in her home on Friday, March 27. Anne resided in Lynn for more than 40 years with her cherished friend and companion, Sheila Bryson. Anne was the most selfless, respected and kind person known to her friends and family -- always putting everyone else's needs before her own. Anne retired in 2013 after working many years as an accountant with Purity Supreme, which later became Stop & Shop. Anne was a member of the Peabody Benevolent Lodge of Elks #1409 and her hobbies included a 30-year run with the Peabody Elks Bowling League as well as an Elks Summer Golf League. In addition, Anne and Sheila enjoyed traveling together, especially to visit friends. Anne loved her family including the extended Bryson family. She especially adored her 96-year-old father, Fred Gardner Sr. of Peabody. She also leaves behind her brother, Fred Jr. and wife Joanne of Byfield; a sister, Margaret Sonia and husband John of Mulberry, Fla., sister Kathleen Cobble of Peabody, sister Claire Tomas of Peabody and sister Leann Shea and husband Chester of Leicester. She leaves many nieces and nephews and Sheila's grandchildren whose lives she was such a big part of. Anne was predeceased by her mother, Marie, a sister, Ellen, a close cousin, Elizabeth, and a niece, Amanda. Service information: A celebration of Anne's life will be held at a later date and announced by the CONWAY, CAHILL-BRODEUR Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
