Carol A. Hanscom, 82

Lynn - Mrs. Carol A. (Prushinsky) Hanscom, age 82 of Lynn, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren, on Thursday, January 20, 2022. She was the wife of the late Paul Hanscom with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

A lifelong resident of Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Josephine (Pucilowski) Prushinsky. She attended Lynn schools and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1958. Until her retirement Carol had worked as a shipping clerk for UPS. Many years ago she had worked as one of the first female parking attendants for the city of Lynn.

Carol was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She loved attending her family's activities and the events that were important in their lives as well as traveling with her children and grandchildren, and hosting her entire family for holidays. She enjoyed playing Bingo and gardening.

She is survived by her children; Paul A. Hanscom, and his wife Jacque, of Colorado, Patricia M. Capano, and her husband Mario, of Lynn, William T. Hanscom, and his wife Terrie, of Lynn, Karen J. DiLisio, and her husband David, of Lynn, and Christine Leavitt, and her husband Gary of Lynn, 10 grandchildren Paul Hanscom and his wife Katie, Juli Ann Hanscom, Nicholas Capano, Alexander Capano, Jonathan Capano and his wife Courtney, Edward Hanscom, Brittany Clossey, Luke DiLisio, and Michael Leavitt, and Meaghan Leavitt, 3 great grandchildren; Jason, Colton, and Emerson, and a daughter-in-law Susan Hanscom. She was also the mother of the late Edward Hanscom, and the sister of the late Helen Diamond.

Service Information: Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11:00AM from the Solimine Funeral Home 426 Broadway (RTE129), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00PM in St. Pius V Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4:00PM-8:00PM.
