Daniel Amirault Obituary

Daniel Amirault, 55

1966 - 2022

Lynn - Daniel Amirault, son of the late Jean Henry and Mary M. Amirault died at home on May 4th after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer.

Dan was born in Lynn on August 26, 1966 and resided there most of his life. He was a graduate of Lynn Vocational Technical Institute class of 1984.

He worked as a HVAC sheet metal fabricator, pharmacy technician, computer lab monitor at NSCC and most recently as the purchasing manager for a large corporation for over 17 years. Dan had great work ethic and was extremely detail oriented. He took much pride in anything he did.

Danny, as he was known to family and his very large circle of friends, had many hobbies and interests. He loved game night and was extremely competitive. He handcrafted miniature figures and spent many hours painting them. He enjoyed hobbies that were unusual and not easily mastered. He spent many hours developing his skills as a book binder using antique manual equipment and period correct materials.

Danny had eclectic taste in music and listened to everything from Rush, his favorite, to Gregorian Monk Chants. To say he was a Star Trek fan would be an understatement.

Danny is survived by his siblings, Kathy Landry (Robert), Susan Amirault, John Amirault, James Amirault (Linda), all of Saugus. Deborah Landry (Raymond) and Donna Rogers of NH. Paul Amirault (Nancy) and Michael Amirault, with whom he made his home, all of Lynn. Joseph Amirault (Danielle), of Lowell. Martin Amirault (Jeanne), Denise Balser, his twin sister, (Stu) all of Salisbury. He was the brother of the late Patrick Amirault and Sharon Baratz both of Lynn. He also leaves 21 nieces and nephews, many who were very close to his age and were more like brothers and sisters. He had a very close and special relationship with each of them.

His entire family was there to support him as always but we want to especially acknowledge our brother Michael's loving care during Danny's illness, we couldn't have gotten through this without him. His home became Danny Central and he welcomed all of us 24/7.

We would also like to thank all of the nurses and staff at Care Dimensions Hospice and Salem Hospital for their incredible care and compassion.

Service Information: Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 8, from 10A.M. – 2P.M. at the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway(Rt. 129) Lynn.
