David Lemon Obituary

Welder, loved dogsLYNN - David M. Lemon Sr., age 72, of Lynn, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012, from injuries sustained after being struck by a motor vehicle. He was the husband of the late Fannie Mae (Cooper) Lemon, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage.Born in Grenada, Mississippi, and a resident of Lynn for more than 50 years, he was the son of the late Seford and Rolena (Knox) Lemon. David was employed as a welder with Turner Construction Inc. for 30 years. A member of the "Lemon Club," family meant the most to him. He also loved his dogs and walking.He is survived by his seven sons and one daughter, Rickey and Veronica Lemon of Delaware, Darrin and Annie Lemon of Peabody, William and Shannon Lemon of Georgia, David Lemon, Scott Lemon, Rolena Lemon, Anthony Lemon and Rodney Lemon, all of Lynn, sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two sisters in law, Laverne Cooper and Myrtle Woods, his dogs, King and Baby, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William, Eddie, Barbara and Vivian.Service Information: A funeral service will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home 128 Washington Street, Lynn, on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, 4-7 p.m.
