Lynn - David P. Moro, 72, of Lynn, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of 28 years to AnnMarie (Dobbins) Moro.
Born in Malden to the late Leo and Winifred (Maguire) Moro, Dave attended Malden Schools, before serving his country and joining the US Navy. He proudly served 4 years of active duty overseas on the USS Forrestal CVA-59 from 1970-1974, and then 2 years of Reserves. After discharge, Dave worked as a machinist and inspector for GE in Lynn for 38 years until his retirement in October 2014. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers at the Malden Elks Club and the Malden Irish-American Club. He also enjoyed history and watching documentaries and MeTV, and was an avid New England sports fan. Dave and AnnMarie enjoyed their annual trips to NH and ME. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and especially teaching his grandson Brayden how to play sports and going on their special walks.
Dave is survived by his wife AnnMarie Moro, his children; Shaina Knapp, David Moro Jr., Kathleen Moro, James Moro, and Matthew Moro, grandson Brayden Stultz, sister Sandra Moro, brothers Stephen Moro, Thomas Moro and his wife Michele, Christopher Moro, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Lois Kosuk of Malden.
Service Information: Visitation for Dave will be held from 4-7:30PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME 425 Broadway (Rt129) Lynn, followed by funeral service with military honors at 7:30PM.
