Lynn - Our dear mother Delia M. Torres sadly passed away in her home on January 10, 2024 at age 81.
Delia was born on July 31,1942 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro Torres Castro and Gregoria Casanova.
Our mother moved to Lynn from Puerto Rico 51 years ago and was heavily involved in the community. She distinguished herself by her tireless help to her family and friends. She would go above and beyond to make sure that we always had everything we needed and more. Our mother was a very strong, caring and lovable woman, and a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her hobbies were to play bingo and go to the casino.
Delia is survived by her seven children, Josefina Quintana, Eusebio Quintana, Jr, Jose Quintana, Pedro Quintana, Delia M. Quintana, Orlando Quintana and Rolando Castro. Her 32 grandchildren, great children, brother Salvador Castro and many nieces, nephews and friends Delia was preceded by her husband Eusebio Quintana, Sr. and her four bothers, Carmelo Castro, Efrain Torres, Elias Torres and Felipe Torres Casanova.
Service Information: Visitation will be held at Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway(Rt.129), Lynn on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 pm. Her funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, Union Street, Lynn on January 16, 2024 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. After the funeral, please join us at Hibernian Hall, 105 Federal Street, Lynn for the celebration of life of our mother.
