Donna Espindle-Scozzari, 54

1968 - 2023

Mashpee - Donna Espindle-Scozzari, 54, longtime resident of Cape Cod, passed away at Falmouth Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Timothy J. Scozzari with whom she shared 5 wonderful years of marriage.

Donna was the daughter of Leo J. Espindle and the late Elaine A. Espindle. She grew up in Saugus, MA where she attended and graduated high school in 1986. Following high school, Donna went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Education studying at North Adams State College and graduating from Bridgewater State University. Donna's true passion was education. She was employed by the Falmouth Public Schools for 16 years, most recently teaching math at the middle school.

Donna was a beloved and talented teacher, and she got as much joy as she gave to her treasured students. She was recently most passionate about a new teaching venture, "The Modern Classroom Project" that uses and combines technologies to enhance teaching plans, student interaction, and self-paced learning. Donna spearheaded this project at Falmouth Schools and was mentoring teachers both in Falmouth and all over the country in its use. Donna's passionate spirit will forever live on in her students.

When Donna wasn't in the classroom, she could be found at the beach, reading, hiking or crocheting. More than anything, Donna enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Donna is survived by her husband Timothy Scozzari, of Mashpee, MA; her son, Mark Dickerson, Jr., of Mashpee, MA; her son Max Dickerson, of Mashpee, MA; her stepdaughter, Madeline McKearney and her husband Matthew, of North Franklin, CT; her stepdaughter, Jessica Scozzari, of Charlotte, NC; her granddaughter Aria Glenn, of Charlotte, NC; her sisters, Leanne Espindle, of Acton, MA, and Emily Danis, and her husband Rob, of Lincoln, RI; her brothers Leo P. Espindle and his wife Erika, of Barrington, RI, and Michael D. Espindle, of Redhook, NY; as well as beloved niece and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 74 Algonquin Ave. (RTE 151), in Mashpee. A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 am.
