Dragana Lazich Obituary

Dragana Andrea Lazich, 85
1939 - 2024
Lynnfield - It is with much regret that we inform you that our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Dragana Andrea Lazich, passed away on November 14th peacefully while surrounded by loved ones.
Dragana was born to Ivan and Andja Vukovic in 1939 in Belgrade. She grew up in Belgrade, Serbia with her mother and Father and brother Valdimir. Dragana graduated from Belgrade University as a Chemist and worked in Serbia as an assistant professor of Chemistry at the Medical School in Belgrade. Dragana was married to Svetislav Lazich in 1966. Dragana and Svetislav traveled from Serbia to the United States, they had two sons, Paul and Ivan. Dragana worked as a Chemist in a hospital lab when she first came to the United States. Dragana and her family lived in the mid-west happily for a few years until they finally settled in the Northshore area of Boston.
Dragana lived a very happy life here in the Northshore with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, and a caring and nurturing mother, who always put her children, her husband, and her close friends first. She always gave everything of herself for the good of the people closest to her heart. Dragana was the person everyone could turn to in times of need, the advisor that everyone listened to, and the friend that everyone cherished. Dragana made sure that many of her children's close friends always felt welcome in her home and her heart.
Dragana was very happy to see her son Ivan get married in Boston to his lovely wife Ivana. She was blessed to be there for the birth of her two grandchildren Ana and Mark. Dragana loved her grandchildren more than anyone else in the world and they loved her with all their hearts and enjoyed visiting with her as much as possible.
Dragana loved to solve problems, she enjoyed puzzles and brain teasers. Dragana developed a genuine love for literature, in addition to her first academic passions of math and science, and she enjoyed losing herself in the novels of some of the best English and modern American novelists of the time.
Dragana is survived by her husband Svetislav Lazich, her sons Paul and Ivan Lazich, her brother Vladimir Vukovi?, her niece Vanesa Vukovi?, her brother and sister-in-law Miodrag and Vera Lazi?, her daughter in law Ivana Lazich, and her grandchildren Ana and Mark Lazich.
Service Information: The family will be holding a small memorial at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St, Lynn, MA 01902 between 6 - 8 pm on Thursday November 21st. A closed service will be held on Friday morning for family and close friends.

So sorry for your loss. Andrea was truly a beautiful person inside and out. As a child, she always made me feel safe and comfortable with her caring personality. So many great memories of her, especially her with my mom. Best to Ivan, Paul, and Dr. Lazich. The von Jakos are thinking about you at this difficult time.
