Elizabeth Hussey Obituary

DANVERS -- Elizabeth T. (Allen) Hussey , age 89, of Danvers, formerly of Lynn , passed away Jan. 2, 2016, in the Hathorne Hill Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Norman B. Hussey Jr. Born, raised and educated in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Elbridge and Elsie Allen.She earned an associate degree in secretarial services. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper in Insurance and Empire Clothing . While her children were growing up, she was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom. She was a self-taught knitter and needle pointer. Elizabeth loved the Red Sox, the Bruins and the Patriots. She was a breast cancer survivor for 35 years. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Peter and Susan Mitchell of Marysville, Wash., and Scott and Wannetta Hussey of Peabody, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Service information: Private burial service will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery . For those desiring, memorials may be made to Breast Cancer or Hospice. Arrangements by the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn.
