Ethel Grace Obituary

Retired GE assembler, devoted to familySAUGUS - Mrs. Ethel A. (Leofilos) Grace, of Saugus, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Jesse P. Grace. Born in Greece, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Hariklia (Psarros) Leofilos. She was raised in Lynn and attended Lynn Classical High School. She had lived in Saugus since 1951.Mrs. Grace worked as an assembler for General Electric in West Lynn and Wilmington for 42 years, until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed spending time at Senior Centers and casinos, and was very active within the GE Union Retirement Community. Her family was her greatest joy.She is survived her daughter, Esther Marcinkus and her husband Joseph of Spring Valley, Ill.; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Grace of Peabody; her brother, Christopher Leofilos of Milwaukee, Wis.; as well as three grandchildren, Brian and Eric Marcinkus and Amanda Rose Grace; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Lindsey, Sara and Jack Marcinkus; and several nieces, nephews and good friends. She was the mother of the late James Grace and sister of the late Anna Perkins.Service information: Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, followed by a funeral service in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Lynn at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are today from 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity of one's choice.
