Evelyn Fitzgerald Obituary
1924 - 2023
Danvers - Evelyn J. Fitzgerald, 98, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at The Atrium at Veronica Drive, Danvers.
She was born in Haverhill on June 3, 1924, daughter of the late David Leo and Daisy I. (Dunbar) Roche and sister of the late David Dunbar Roche.
Evelyn was educated in the Haverhill School system and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1942.
She was employed with General Electric for 7 years, Texas Instruments and retired from Analog. She then was employed following her retirement for 12 years at Lynn Products.
Evelyn is predeceased by James H. Fitzgerald who passed away in 2013. Since 1954, Evelyn and James spent their lives between Lynn and a home on Loon Pond, Acton, ME, retiring to Loon Pond 40 years ago. Evelyn loved life, humor, music, travel & gardening. Going out daily to the coffee shop to see friends. Evelyn never went anywhere without making new friends.
She is survived by her children James Fitzgerald of Lynn, Sheila Fitzgerald Della Croce of Lynn, and Patrick Fitzgerald, and his wife Monica of Sanford, ME, seven grandchildren -Shannon, Carla, Rocco Della Croce, Wendy, Sean, Christopher, and Katie Fitzgerald. Also, five great grandchildren. Also, her two favorite nieces Doreen Fitzgerald Marcoccio and "Kathy" Roche.
Service Information: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Thursday, April 6 from 10-11 AM at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. Her funeral service will follow. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill.
