Felix Quinn Obituary

Felix P. Quinn, 87

1935 - 2022

North Andover - Felix P. (Phil) Quinn, 87, of North Andover, died Monday morning, November 28, 2022, following an eleven year challenge with Alzheimer's disease.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Edward and Florence (Renault) Quinn. He was raised in Saugus and graduated from Saugus High School. He attended University of N.H. and finished his college education at Boston University. In 1959 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served for twenty years, retiring in 1980 as a Commanding Officer. Phil served in Vietnam, the Cuban Missile blockade, and participated in numerous rescue missions during his time as a naval pilot. After his retirement from the Navy he began a second career as a real estate developer. He was involved in both residential and commercial construction in New England, Florida, Mississippi, and Puerto Rico. Once fully retired, he enjoyed spending time with his multitude of friends discussing politics and world events. He was an avid athlete, skier, traveler, boater and cruiser.

He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 34 years, Patricia (Bean); his daughters Sharon Quinn-Fauvel and Lisa Harrison; his son Philip Quinn and spouse Jason Stump; his son Jeffrey Quinn and wife Mary Ellen; five grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. My deepest sympathy to Patti, families, and friends. Phil was a fine Naval Officer, great boss, and wonderful friend to me when we served and worked together in the U.S. Navy some fifty years ago. We overcame the challenges and enjoyed many good times together. He was always kind to me and my family, and generous to a fault. We stayed in touch as best we could over the years, and I will always remember Phil fondly. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate.

I´ll miss you so, so much, Phil. You were so kind, generous and loving. And, I´m certain you were everyone´s favorite to hang out with as it was a given you´d have the best time and laughs ever with Phil and Patti. Thank you for being the best brother in-law I could have ever hoped for. You were such a blessing in my life and a real Prince and you´ll forever hold a special place in my heart.
Rest peacefully and know we´ll all be here for Patti.
Love you, Phil.
