Florence D'Agostino Obituary

Retired chief lunch aideLYNN - Mrs. Florence E. (Bruno) D'Agostino, age 77, formerly of Lynn, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007 at Union Hospital after a brief illness. She is the wife of the late Thomas D. D'Agostino.Born in Saugus, she is the daughter of the late John and Victoria (Petrizzi) Bruno. She was raised in East Boston and has lived in Lynn for the greater part of her life.Mrs. D'Agostino worked as the chief lunch aide for the Washington School in Lynn for many years until her retirement in 1998.An avid bingo player, she often played bingo many times a week. She also loved to cook. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.She is survived by four daughters, Lynda Miranda and her husband George of Florida, Maria Welch of Somerville, Nancy D'Agostino of Texas, and Marlene D'Agostino of Lynn; three sons, Howard Burns and his wife Cindy of Swampscott, Thomas D'Agostino of Virginia and Michael D'Agostino and his wife Elaine of Lynn; a sister, Rose Tullock and her husband Donald of Peabody and a brother, Sonny Bruno of California; a sister-in-law, Nancy Amenta of Lynn; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her loving cat Bossco.Service information: Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8 a.m. from the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129) Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Lynn at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 p.m. Directions and guestbook at www.solimine.com
