Jacqueline L. Walcott

LYNN - Jacqueline Lee (Kimber) Walcott, "Jackie," of Lynn, age 70, passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014 following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Deacon Oliver Leo "Soupie" Walcott.Born in Lynn and a resident for most of her life, she was the daughter of Margaret (Berry) Kimber and the late Ralph Kimber. She attended Classical High School. Prior to her retirement, Jackie was a financial field secretary, and was employed with the GE in Everett, the Riverworks Credit Union, and various jobs as a nurse's aide, and in the hotel and retail businesses, the DMV and auction field. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, game shows and keeping up with current events. She was a loving and generous person, who truly cared about and devoted her time to her family and friends. She was loved and will be missed. Jacqueline was spiritual, and had great faith in God.In addition to her mother, Jackie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Greg Harrison; her brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Diane Kimber; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephews, Paul Kimber and Ralph Kimber III; her niece and her husband, Marnie Kimber Reid and Mark Reid; and many other extended family members and friends. She was the sister of the late Pricilla Ann Kimber and mother of the late Raymond Johnson Jr. and the late Ronald Lee Johnson.Service information: A funeral service will be held in the Zion Baptist Church, 4 Adams St., Ext., Lynn, on Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation is also in the church, Friday, 4-8 p.m. Arrangements by the GOODRICH FUNERAL HOME, 128 Washington St., Lynn.
