Janet M. Crowley LeBrasseur, 89
1935 - 2025
Lynn, MA - Janet M. (Rowen) (Crowley) LeBrasseur, age 89, of Lynn, died on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Methuen surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Ronald Crowley and the late Albert LeBrasseur. Born in Lynn, in 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Smith) Rowen. She was raised in Lynn, attended St. Joseph Grammar School, St. Mary's Girls High School and graduated from Lynn English High School in 1953. She later went on to take courses at Essex Aggie while raising her family. Janet worked for the family business, Lynnway Bowling, for many years, running multiple Women's Leagues and working the counter until her early 80s. She was an amazing cook, always making every meal from scratch with favorites like pea soup and stuffed peppers. Janet was an accomplished seamstress and knitter and was famous for making wedding gowns and prom dresses along with mittens and onesies for the kids. She enjoyed travelling, especially her trip to New Orleans and two cruises to Alaska and was an avid piano player.
She was a long-time supporter of The Salvation Army for all the help she received from them during different points in her own life. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother (Nana) and great-grandmother (Gigi) and will be remembered for her infectious smile and laugh.
Janet is survived by her loving children, Kathleen Collado of Lynn, Daniel Crowley and his longtime companion Leni Tait of Charlotte, NC, Paul Crowley and his wife Kathleen of Lynn, Mary Crowley of Lynn and her longtime companion Kevin Richardson, Michael Crowley and his wife Cathy of Swampscott, and Sean Crowley and his wife Jessica of Fremont, NH; her beloved grandchildren, Rachel Collado, Sean Crowley, Christopher Crowley, Alex Crowley, Kelli Crowley, Emerald Crowley, Keri Crowley, Elizabeth Crowley, Shannon Murillo, Michael Crowley, Jr., Makayla Crowley; her many adoring great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sr. Nancy Rowen, SND of Peabody and Beryl O'Brien of South Dennis; her nephews Richard Barrows, John Barrows, Peter Barrows and David Barrows; and her longtime friends, Katie Dean, Marge Behen and the crew from 'Stitch & B!tch'. She was the grandmother of the late Michael David Crowley and sister of the late Gail Barrows and Thomas Rowen.
Service Information: A Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 8 a.m. from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Lynn at 9a.m. The burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting Hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7p.m. Donations in Janet's memory may be made to The Salvation Army, 1 Franklin St., Lynn, MA 01902.
