Majorie Coviello Obituary

Majorie Midge Coviello, 93
1931 - 2025
Peabody - We would like to share the passing Marjorie Louise Coviello AKA 'Midge' to most who knew her at the age of 93 on June 1, 2025. Born and raised in Lynn by her mother and father Helen and Richard Campbell. She was raised on Mt Pleasant Street in The Highlands.
Married to Rocco Coviello in 1951 until his passing in September 2001. They were active members of the Volunteer Yacht Club in Lynn and with East Lynn Little League in earlier years. She and Rocky raised their three children on Clark Street. The house was always active and open. Friends and family were always dropping by and welcomed. Midge lived there until recent health issues had her moving to Pilgrim Rehab in Peabody.
It's hard to fathom life without her. She had a way about her and was unwavering in loving her family and friends. She had a quick wit, a provocative sense of humor, a penchant for saying the outrageous and a willingness to embrace anyone and everybody who walked through the door of our home. Midge never had a driver's license, but she did walk everywhere.
Not a gourmet cook but she did blend some of her Ukrainian Jewish tradition with that of Italian. A favorite was 'Giambotta' which was often on the stove or in the refrigerator waiting for whatever friend or family happen to come to the house and was hungry. There are so many wonderful fun memories to recall.
She is survived by her sons Joseph and Rocco Coviello, daughter Cindy Liberge, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a nephew who shared her love of snow. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Cahill.
Service Information: Her wishes were to be buried with her husband in the World War II section at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn in private graveside gathering.

I knew Marjorie when Inworked at Pilgrim Rehab. We had a lot of laughs together. Her warmth, sense of humor and irreverence always got me laughing with her. She was blessed and told me several times that she had a great life.
