Mary Therese Aylward

Mary Therese "Terry"? (Thibeau) Aylward, originator of Bill & Bob's restaurant chain with her husband Bill passed away on August 31. In later years they wintered in Ft. Myers with a number of relatives and many friends from colder climates. The daughter of the late Roger and Catherine (Bourque) Thibeau who had both immigrated from Nova Scotia. Terry was born in Boston and raised in Lynn where she graduated from St. Jean the Baptiste School. Bill predeceased Terry in 2018 and they had previously lost son Daniel and grandson Ryan. Terry was predeceased by her sister Verna Barry and brother Richard Thibeau. She is survived by her sister Rosalyn Thibodeau of Danvers. Also survived by four sons, William R. and his wife Sylvia of Lynn and Ft. Myers, FL., David and Betty of Thornton NH, Tom and Kathy of Lynnfield and Ft. Myers FL., and Tim and Sharon of Swampscott. Terry also leaves 13 Grandchildren and 18 Great grandchildren. The extended family includes many nieces and nephews. After selling the family business, Bill and Terry embarked on many adventures. Chief among these were many cruises with fond memories of multiple Panama Canal crossings and Alaska. They urged family and friends to enjoy life while you can, and they certainly did in their over 70 years together. Service information: Funeral was held from the Solimine Funeral Home 426 Broadway (RTE129), Lynn, on Friday, September 4 followed by private prayer services at St. Mary's cemetery.
