Matthew Dalton Obituary

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- Mr. Matthew C. Dalton "Matty,"? age 39, formerly of Saugus, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 13 at Bethesda Hospital from an infection that affected his heart and lungs. He was surrounded by his family and a host of friends which were his Florida family. Born in Lynn and raised in Saugus, he was the son of Scott and LouAnn (Lessard) Dalton of Saugus. He was a project manager for McCabe Bros. Construction, who considered him one of their brothers. Matty was a talented craftsman who took pride in his work and was loved by all who knew him. He loved the ocean, especially Maine and Florida, where you would find him fishing and kayaking. He also enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog, Sasha. In addition to his parents, Matty leaves his loving sister, Leah Goulart and her husband Brian of Boxford; his beloved nephews, Jackson and Brooks. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Matty's memory may be made to Healthy Streets, 100 Willow St., 2nd floor, Attn: Mary Wheeler, Lynn, MA 01901 or to the charity of your choice. Service information: Funeral services were held in Florida due to the overwhelming amount of friends and family he had made there over the years.
