Michael H. Braddock

LYNN -- Michael Hugh Braddock, age 71, passed away suddenly from an aortic aneurysm, at Salem Hospital on June 18, 2020.  Born in Vestal, N.Y., on March 18, 1949, he was a son of the late Hugh D. and Lula M. (Culpepper) Braddock. Following his education, Mike proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. When Mike returned home, he tried his hand at different jobs before settling down as a maintenance worker for Loring Towers in Salem. He then went on to work for Honda as a parts driver for many years until his retirement.     Mike was the heart and soul of his family. He was a proud patriarch who was lovingly referred to by many as "Uncle Mike."? Whether it was coaching and playing in his adult softball league, umpiring games, or watching the Red Sox, Patriots, or Celtics, Mike loved being involved with and watching sports. He was also known for his incredible sense of humor, and his ability to tell the best jokes and stories. Above all else though, Mike loved his family, and will be forever remembered as being a light in their lives. Surviving Mike are his children, Christopher Braddock and Michael Braddock, both of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Daniel Brook of Lynn; his grandchildren, Brianna, Christopher, Ayden, Karsyn, Brady, Shai, Micha, Jordan and Alyssa Braddock, and Damien Brook; his great-grandchildren, Braden and Holly Braddock; his nieces and nephew, Rick Anderson, Shelly Thompson, and Tammy Paragona, as well as many other beloved great nieces and nephews, and friends. Mike was the beloved father of the late Shawne Ricciardelli, who passed on May 25, 1984.
