Richard Mitchell Obituary

Lynn -- Richard G. Mitchell , age 66, of Lynn, died at home July 16, after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late William and Muriel (Coburn) Mitchell and husband of Donna L. (Cook) Mitchell with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. He was a former iron worker in the former Iron Foundry of Lynn . For many years, until his retirement, he worked for the Giltspur Exhibits as a finish carpenter. He enjoyed wrestling, car racing and westerns. Besides his wife, Donna, he is survived by two sons, Christopher and Chad Mitchell and one daughter, Casi K. Mitchell all of Lynn, one brother, Ken Mitchell of Peabody and six sisters, Pat Dick of St. Paul, Minn., Bonnie and Robin Dexter, both of New Hampshire, Laurie Turner of Chelmsford, Lorna Walters and Tami Mitchell both of Lynn. He was the loving grandfather of Amber, Christopher J. and Brittany and the brother of the late Billy, Bobby and Jack Mitchell, Cheryl Girard and Cathy Allan. Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services in the Nadworny Funeral Home , 798 Western Ave., Lynn, on Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park , Peabody.
