Swampscott - SWAMPSCOTT--Susan Garcelon (Reilly) passed away peacefully at home, following a brief illness, on June 4th at the age of 78. She was the dear wife of Paul Garcelon, Sr., with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in New Brunswick, CA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Hillier) Reilly. Susan was raised in Saugus, but has spent most of her life living in Swampscott.

Along with her love of the beach and living on the coast, Susan had many hobbies and interests. One couldn't drive by her house without noticing the beautiful flowers that adorned the yard every year. She was an avid animal lover and was often seen walking the neighborhood with her beloved dog, Murphy.

The mold was certainly broken when she became a "Nana". There wasn't a game, a school show, a dance recital or a graduation that was missed. She was always their greatest fan. She could be found in the stands of a rink or on the sidelines in any kind of weather cheering on her grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Susan is survived by her two children, Paul Garcelon, Jr. of Beverly, and Karen Poska of Swampscott; her four grandchildren, Jack, Thomas, Emma, and Jacqueline; her sister Sylvia Collins, as well as many other dear relatives and friends.

Susan was the sister of the late Charles Reilly.

Arrangements: Friends and family are invited to call at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn on Wednesday, June 9th from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. At the request of the family, Funeral Services and Burial will be held privately.
