Suzon Fecteau Obituary

It is with a deep sadness that we announce the passing of Suzon Fecteau, of Beverly,  after a brief illness.  Born in Boston on March 28, 1950 to the late Margaret A. (Durkee) Fecteau and Richard G. Fecteau, Suzon (nicknamed Suzy) grew up in Lynn. She graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1967 and went on to receive her BA from Emmanuel College.  Along with her father, Richard Fecteau, she is survived by her devoted twin sister, Sidnice; her two goddaughters, Molly Spillane of Winooski, Vt., and Nicole George of Boxford; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  Suzy began her career at Verizon (at the time, New England Telephone) as a production line worker at the age of 22. For the next 29 years she worked multiple jobs at multiple sites and was an international sales trainer in Greece at the time of her retirement in 2014. She developed and maintained many lifelong friendships at the workplace.   Artistic by nature, Suzy named photography, card making and scrapbooking among her hobbies. Her lifelong passion was always international travel. Among her many overseas trips she visited Greece, Poland, Gibraltar, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Switzerland. She was ahead of her time in documenting her travels and wrote many journal articles about her adventures.  Suzy's infectious laughter and extroverted personality will be missed by all who knew her. Service information: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Puritan Lawn Cemetery Chapel, 185 Lake St., Peabody. Directions can be found at www.puritanlawn.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Suzon's name to your favorite charity.
