Barbara Cafferty Obituary

Cafferty, Barbara Jean
Barbara Jean Cafferty, 74, died Saturday, December 31, 2011. She was born in Los Angeles, California on November 2, 1937 and lived in San Dimas, California for the last 37 years. She is survived by her husband John; children Dennis (Bonnie) Cafferty, Tom Cafferty, Jeanne Cafferty and Katie (Scott) Sutherland; grandchildren Sydney, Clay and Kylie; and dog Lucy. Before retiring in 2002, Barbara worked for 18 years at Automatic Data Processing in San Dimas. Barbara and John have been active parishioners of Holy Name of Mary Parish for over 35 years and, when not making clothes and blankets for family and friends, Barbara was making banners, altar cloths and other decorations, as well as cookies and cakes for the Church. Her love of family and friends was boundless and she is greatly missed. A Vigil Rite will be held at Holy Name of Mary Church, San Dimas Friday Jan. 13th 7:00 p.m.; Funeral Mass Holy Name of Mary Church, San Dimas Saturday Jan. 14th 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we request a donation be made to the St. Vincent de Paul (care of Holy Name of Mary) in her name.

My prayers and thoughts are with the Cafferty family. I worked with both Barbara and Jeanne. Barbara was my boss at ADP, and I learned so much from her. She was amazing, kind and a wonderful person. I was so blessed to know her.
She truly made a world a better place.
My prayers are with you!

Barbara was an amazing lady. She gave great hugs and was always the comforter you could turn to in need. She gave unselfishly of herself, always thinking of others. She was loved immensely by her Holy Name of Mary community and we will miss her so much.
Barbara, when you left, a piece my heart is now gone...
But in your spirit of love, I will carry on. I will keep your family in my prayers. Love, Corinne

To the Cafferty Family:

In this difficult time in your lives, may you find comfort in God's word, the Bible. James 4:8 encourages; "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you".

My condolences,
SJB.
