Jean Patterson Obituary

Jean Patterson, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on July 4, 2006. She was born in Chicago, IL on October 25, 1929. She moved to Ontario in 1945 with her parents and two sisters. She graduated from Chaffey High School. She raised her children in Alta Loma, was active in PTA, Girl Scouts and church choir. She was office manager for Aylor Roofing for many years, and then opened her own business, Monte Vista Storage. Sh e later retired in Whittier, tending to her home and garden. Jean had a strong work ethic and passed that, along with her devotion to family, on to her children. There was never a child in need that she did not stop to help. We thank you Mom for all you taught us. You will forever be in our hearts. Jean is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Steve Williams of Sonora, CA, Cindy and Bill Gleason of Ontario, CA, Susan and Andre Lacroix of Upland, CA; one son and daughter-in-law, M ark and Lisa Cabe of Hesperia, CA; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Pap of Ontario, CA and Alice and John Veenstra of Emmett, ID; grandchildren, Jeff (Dina) Williams, Stephanie (Aaron) Wentz, Karin Lacroix, David Lacroix, Matthew Cabe, Jesse Cabe; and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Tyler and Kristen Wentz and Hannah Williams; and much loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Fred and Florence Muir. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 6th Floor, New York, NY 10001 or the Los Angeles Shriners Children's Hospital/Atten: Donations Dept, 3160 Geneva St., Los Angeles, CA 90020. Visitation at Stone Funeral Home, Sunday, July 9, 2006 from 5 to 7 p.m. Services will be held in the Vivian Webb Chapel at The Webb Schools, 1175 W. Baseline Road, Claremont, CA on Monday, July 10th at 10 a.m. Interment following at Bellevue Memorial Park. Stone Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
