Claremont June 6, 2010, from a malignant brain tumor. Born Jan. 18, 1934, in Moss Hill, TX, David had been a California resident since 1963. David was an avid youth sports coach, music educator, choral and band director. He was the first band director at Alta Loma High School and wrote their school song. Beginning in 1964, David taught at Mt. SAC and then served as chair of the Music Dept. from 1983 to 1994. He is survived by his wife Deborah Hutton, son Paul, daughter-in-law Tonya King, two grandchildren, and former wife Gretchen. Services are Sat., June 12, at 11:30 am in the Todd Memorial Chapel in Claremont.
