Joseph Bertino Obituary

Joseph A. Bertino, an Ontario resident his entire life, died at his home on March 8, 2005 after a long illness. Born in Upland in October 1930, he graduated from Chaffey High School in 1948. After serving as a Sgt. in the Korean War he married Barbara Wolfe in 1953. Following in his father's footsteps he owned and operated Bertino Automotive Service Until 1998, at which time his son Charlie continued on with th e 81 year old family business. He was active as a coach for his son's little league teams, a member of the American Legion, Elks and The Automotive Service Excellence Assoc. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughters, Karen and Julie, sons, Buddy and Charlie, 12 grandchildren, one great grandchildren, a sister Alberta, and a brother Maurice. Services will be held at Stone's Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, Mar ch 16, at 11:00 a.m.
