Marc C. Shephard

1973 - 2014

Marc Christian Shephard 41, of Kingwood Texas, passed away suddenly on November 22, 2014 of heart failure.

Marc was born on April 6, 1973 in Fontana, CA. He attended Pomona First Baptist School from 1978-1987 and Upland High School from 1987-1989.

In 1989 the Shephard Family moved to Fort Dick, CA, where Marc attended Del Norte High School (DNHS). Marc quickly became a big part of the DNHS football and basketball teams where he excelled at the positions of quarterback and point guard and led both teams to many victories. Marc graduated from DNHS in 1991.

Marc relocated to Youngtown, OH, where he began his career with Sudden Link Communications and continued his career upon transfer to Kingwood, Texas. Marc very much enjoyed his employment with Sudden Link Communications. He was employed by the company for 16 years and achieved the position of Cable Technician 5. Marc enjoyed working on his car, playing golf, watching basketball and football and was a devoted Oakland Raider fan. Marc was a proud father of 4 fantastic children, whom he loved more than life. Marc shared a special bond with each of his kids. Marc's Father set the example making sure family was always first, and always made time for family trips. Marc kept that tradition as he also enjoyed traveling across country with his children for annual family reunions just like his Father. Marc adored his family with all of his heart. Marc is preceded in death by his father Cornelius Shephard. He is survived by his loving family, Mother, Joanna Shephard, sister Christina Shephard-Latimore (Emanuel) of Stockton, CA and brother, Carey Shephard of Upland, CA. His four children, daughter Tiara, sons Marcus and Jalyn (Gin-nah Garcia) of Cleveland, Ohio and son Christian (Michelle Monterroso) of Kingwood, Texas.

Services will be held on December 4, 2014 at 11:00am at Stone Funeral Home 355 E 9th Street, Upland CA, 91786, 909-982-1369. Visitation will be held prior to service from 10:30-11:00 am.
