Dear Sue,

Words are not enough to express the both the sadness of Barney's passing or the joys of his life. Surely he fulfilled the KP motto of

" acta non verba " as his was a life of action. On reading the obit I was particular focused on his commitment to Scouting...He, truly carried the service to other unselfishly.

My prayers continue for your family.

My friend, brother and advisor, I will miss you whenever I have a computer that won't work and when I can't seem to wire that outlet properly but most of all I will miss those calls that were "just checking in". You tought me so many things but the most important of them all was how to be a good friend. You were the best and I will miss your glow.

Dear Sue,

I will never forget the kindness "Uncle Burr" showed when he spent an eight hour day sitting with my Bob in his room in Eisenhower Medical Center, just days before Bob made his transition. To see them laughing and sharing their childhood stories of growing up in Duquesne was something I will always cherish. My heart goes out to you and your family for such a loss.

It's difficult to put into words the lasting impression that Barney had on anyone who knew him. His unique combination of a subtle brillance coupled with a genuine empathy for people and a Kings Pointer's love of a good time will be sorely missed by those of us who were fortunate enough to call him a friend. Rest in peace Barnzo; we'll never forget you.

As I am sure many agree, Barney was much more than a friend. He was a generous, helpful, and considerate human being. He followed the best traditions of life. I regret he passed on at this time; he deserved to live longer than many of us; yet life is indiscriminate, it does not follow our wishes or good logic. Barney, if somehow you read this, be assured you have made important contributions to your immediate family, friends and many others and we are most grateful.

Barney, thanks for keeping our Victory 21 in tip-top shape and sharing the fun of our early days in San Diego when we were both young and searching for adventure.

Harriet and I will miss having you around!

You were more than a step father. You were a dad, a teacher, a motivator, a cheerleader, a fixer, and a supporter. You were taken from us to soon, but your lessons of life will live on and inspire all of us. You will be truly missed.

Dear Sue and family,

What a pleasure it was to locate cousin Barney when researching our Wurzbacher ancestry. He will never be forgotten...especially since we shared the same birthday.

My deepest sympathy to you all.

Love,

David
