Nina Mangrich Obituary

REMEMBRANCE Nina Hooper Mangrich Nina Louise Mangrich passed away at home on August 16, 2004. She was born on September 12, 1933, in Los Angeles to Roy and Anita Hooper. she grew up in San Dimas. She was employed as a legal secretary when she married Joe Mangrich and began her 45 year career as a wife, and later as a mother and grandmother in Pomona. Her m any accomplishments include: Volunteer at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center with 6045 hours to her credit; officer in Pomona Council and District Council PTA; aide for Pomona High School Marching Band for 5 years; long-time bowler and coach for Junior Bowlers for seven years; comforting hugger of all who needed a warm human touch. She is survived by her husband and best friend Joe; two sons, John (Nancy) Mangrich of Orange and Michael (Chris) Mangrich of Chino; three daughters, Kathleen Mangrich of Po mona, Mary Mangrich of Davis, and Maureen (Mark) Munoz of San Bernardino; her sister, Nelda (Doug) Hooper of Chipley, Florida; five grandchildren, Jimmy, Mark, John Scott, Delilah, and Amanda. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 28 at Our Lady of The Assumption Church, 435 Berkeley, Claremont, where she had been a parishioner for over 40 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Robert and Beverly Lewis Cancer Center, 1910 Royalty Drive, Pomona, Ca 91767.
