Dad,
It's been a year and a half since you left me! I miss you sooo much. Nobody talks and listens to me the way you use to. Ol Blue is doing good. I got her some new pads and shoes. Changed her oil and filter and the thermostat too. I even got a new tire. You know how it's important to take care of your truck! I'm taking good care of her. I know you had her for transportation and taking Sancho and Kingston places. I tell people this truck is not for hauling junk or moving. I sure did become popular when Wayne gave me your truck. I'm learning to be assertive and tell people "No" when I mean no! Wayne got an explorer and he misses you too. I know you don't like cats but I want you to know Shadow loves to ride in ol Blue too. My cat thinks he's a dog, but he's not. Silly muchachito! I'm going to bring you flowers soon. Until then...I know you'll never forget anyways I LOVE YOU!

Dear Dad,
This is the las time I"ll write. Remember when I was little and you took me to Iowa in the big truck. We where between Cheyenne and Salt Lake City. The road was cold and icy. Scary to me! Thank God for sleepers! I thought we should stop but you said you had to deliver this load of swinging hogs in LA. I guess the CHP wouldn't have let you drive if it weren't safe. We stopped at a rest area at the top of the hill. Dad you took to the most beautiful place in the world. We used the rest room, on the way back to the truck I saw a deer. You know how I love animals. I wanted to pet it so you went to the truck and got me some peanuts. I fed that deer from my hand! I asked why did this wild deer eat from my hand? You explained because it was in a rest area people probably fed it a lot. Dad, remember when you said we saw a Jackalope! I believed in Jackalope until I was 18! Imagine that! We made it home from that trip. Thank god for sleepers for little girls to get in when the weather gets to bad. Dad, I want to go back to Little America someday. I want to go on a another trip with you. I know this will never happen again. But I know I"ll see you in heaven someday. Until then THANK YOU FOR BEING MY DAD. I love you and I miss you. xoxo
Love Leslie,
Your Daughter

Dear Dad,
It's almost been one year since you left me. I don't know why but the longer you're gone the more I miss you. They say it gets easier with time. When? I think about you frequently. I never stop missing you. I got a job. I'm doing everything the way I should. I know things will get better. I still have Shadow. He's always watching over me. That cat really loves me. I know you don't want to hear about Shadow. I just want you to know he keeps a very close eye on me. You'd be proud of him. I'll write again on the 29th.

Love,
Leslie

Dad,
I did it! It's been 1 year since I got out of that place. Two years without you for something I didn't do. I miss you more than I ever thought possible. I'm a regular person again. I promise, no more CDC. I'm still being good too. I can behave on my own. I think about you quite often. You where the best Dad in the world. I love you Dad.

Dear Dad,
I miss you. Next Sunday is Fathers day and I wish I could spend it with you. My last Fathers day with you was 2004. The other two, I could not reach you. I will go to the cemetary and spend time with you there. Since you left us I have so much clarity in my life. You know we had a great relationship and again. Thank you for being my Dad. I wish I would have been more available to you this past year. I had no control over that. Thank you for the last 20 days that we got to spend together. It wasn't enough but I thank god everyday that he let me have that with you. I'll see you on Sunday and I'll tell you how much I still love you. You where the worlds greatest Dad. I was lucky to have you as my father.

Dear Dad,
It's been two months today since you left us. =-( I miss you so much. Why did you have to go? I need more time with you. I went camping by myself. Me and my cat. Uncle Pete,

The short time that we had spent together was great Pete, never a dull moment when everybody got to talking. I admired the relationship that you and Angel had. Thank both of you for sharing stories that will be passed down forever. Till we meet again Pete!! Love

Uncle Pete,

You were right, there wasn't any action down there. I should have listened instead of getting my hopes up, oh well maybe next time. I heard the news Sunday evening and I have to tell you, it didn't come easy.
It was my pleasure to have known such a radiant man. You sure knew how to put a smile on someone's face. I'll miss you and will always remember the time we did share.

Respectfully,
"Jackpot"

Barbara, Petee, Jen and Wayne, my heart goes out to you.

Uncle Pete ~ Well you are lucky! Right now you are kickin' back with my Dad, your Champ. I certainly wish the both of you were here, but I am glad you have each other. The new path of life we are on is extremely hard, granted I've been on it a little longer than your family, but we will all hold you close to our hearts and will miss you every day. I love you so much, thank you for all of the years and all of the memories... so glad you were here to hold my hand when we ALL lost my Dad. Thank you.
All my LOVE!
