Raul Herrera III passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015. He was 17 years old. Raul was a generous and carefree spirit who went out of his way to help those less fortunate. He was born in Montebello, CA. Raul was a very intelligent young man who began his education at West Covina Christian. He went to high school at Colony High School in Ontario, CA. Raul leaves behind his dad Joe Herrera and his step-mom Carol Herrera; his mother Elsa Owsley; his beloved Papa Beto; brothers and sisters- Louie (Brett), Carlos (Julie), Sonya, Carlos and Mayra; numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Maria and Raul Herrera; his maternal grandmother Mama Mago. All donations will be given to a local food bank and homeless shelter. www.gofundme.com/2d2qeqv8. Services and the celebrations of life ceremony will be held on August 29th, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, religious ceremony will begin promptly at 1:30 pm at Richardson Peterson Funeral Home 123 G St., Ontario, CA 91762

Words cannot begin to explain the amount of pain we have endured physically and mentally after you left this world. there was so much more you needed to accomplish and see, yet you decided to turn your back on it all. I am deeply and emotionally sorry that you never got the truth and love that you so longed for. All you wanted to do is spread the love Christ intended for the world to have. Your light was to great to be contained. Your energy and out of the world knowledge is not forgotten.

You are so deeply missed..there is not a day that goes by that we don't think of you or talk about things you would do. Life will never be the same without your beautiful presence. We can hardly wait for the day when we will see you again. Until then, we know you are with the Lord and take comfort in believing you are resting in heaven because of HIS Grace and Mercy. Love you.

Elsa, my heart is broken for you and the family. What sweet memories we have of Raul from church at Calvary Chino Hills. We send our deepest condolences and pray that our Lord and Savior has received him warmly. May God supply an abundance of comfort in such a time of sorrow.
